What is AromaYoga?
The healing power of aroma will effect our physiology and emotions, creating change in every cell of our being. Essential oils in combination with yoga has the ability to create an olfactory sanctuary.
Our sense of smell takes us on a journey to the center of the brain where smell is our most primal sense beginning at birth. Once you inhale an essential oil, their aromatic molecules enter the body through our nasal passages and olfactory bulb and continues to travel to the limbic region at the center of the brain, which regulates our memory, creativity, and motivation, as well as the autonomic nervous & endocrine systems. AromaYoga is a powerful tool in Amy's therapeutic approach to teach the connection "to yoke." Each class is designed to an intention (Bhvana) to yoke the essential oil to the area of the body as it may effect a student both physically & emotionally. AromaYoga refines our mental clarity, deepens our emotions and aids to reduce muscle and joint pain. Amy has found that when using essential oils students often appear to be more connected, grounded, & present.
